How in God's name do I upload an image to this site? I didn't remember it being so complicated. I choose my file, and that's all it gives me.
 
Bill, did you limit my priviledges for swearing on the site?

A Rant

This rant is a response to a Huffington Post article about Keith Olbermann's recent suspension from MSNBC.

Oh, the poor, poor liberals. It makes me sad that the shit storm that is the polarizing nature of the two-party political system is spilling over into journalism.
 
It makes me sad that liberal news has the unfortunate burden of reporting to people that think for themselves and demand facts. If only MSNBC could spew sloganized invectives designed for the sole purpose of disrupting the liberal paradigm. Poor, poor liberal journalists. I’m sorry it’s unacceptable to pick sides now.

My Keanu Reeves Moment

For those of you not in the know, a Keanu Reeves moment is when you learn or realize something that makes you take a step back and profoundly utter "Whoa."
 
Such a moment occured to me.
 
First, some back ground. When I was a kid, often while traveling in the car, I would amuse myself by asking myself the question: "Why am I me?" I would repeat this over and over and, eventually, I would enter into this strange realm that was partly outside of my body, yet I partly within it. Motor functions, all that, were fine. I inhabited this wierd nebulous, dare I break out the word eldritch, realm that bridged the gap between being inside my body and outside my mind. It's hard to describe. It's like a dream where you're watching yourself sleep, but you know you're in bed imagining yourself watching your imaginary self.
 
Yeah, this is the stuff I think about on Halloween.

 Dear Family,
I got a camera for Christmas. This is old news. The new news is my newly minted vocabulary that fulfills my new New Year's resolution to insert the not-new word "new" as many times as newly possible in every new sentence I say.
 
Actually, I've been posting new photos from Oregon, along with some older ones, on my new photo section. I have also been tirelessly working to include with each photo a hilarious quip. So, check them out.
